I tried to ignore what was going on with my mind and body

"I had been reading others stories about their incounters with various "party drugs" and I thought I would add mine to the list. I had been going to parties for a while and thought I knew what kind and how much of a drug I could handle. At a party a couple of weeks ago I decided to trip with some of my friends since we all hadn't done it in a while (most of us had been in to harder stuff). Each of us only had one micro dot each and while the stuff they had taken made them trip right away mine took about three or more hours to kick in, which seemed very unusal. When I finally started tripping it was very intense and I was on a hard trip for about five hours, a lot longer than most of my friends. I tried to just ignore what was going on with my mind and body because I thought I was just tripping really hard. I really shouldn't have ignored what my body was trying to tell me because in the end it could have been fatal. I wasn't freaking out or anything but I just felt like I had enough and I wanted it to stop.

The last thing I remember about being at that party was talking to a guy who was sitting on the speakers and telling him how hard I was tripping and how it didn't feel right. I remember some different things from when the paramedics picked me up to the hospital but only still images and some sounds. The next thing I knew I was sitting in the hospital bed and they were taking my blood pressure and trying to figure out what happened to me. I told them what I had took and they didn't
believe that I only had one hit of acid because the reports from bystanders at the scene were that I feel down and went into a seizure. They wanted to do some tests on me to see what happened with my brain but all I could think about was getting out of the hospital and back to the party (which I later found out stopped when the paramedics came in to get me). I had my sister come and check me out of the hospital and left without even caring what the after effects could be.

Now it has been about three weeks since this has happened and there have been no complications, so far. Except I haven't been to a party or taken any drugs since then, I have been truly scared to do either of those things again. Even though my friends say that it would be a long shot that it would ever happen to me again. I think this really pushed me back into reality to the realization where I don't need drugs to have a good time.

So no matter how well you think you know your body and how much it can handle just remember there is always the chance that something won't react well with you one time and that time could be your last time for anything."
